SAML user is not linking

Hi!

Hoping someone can help me out - We have got users coming via a SAML enterprise connection. But unfortunately rather than recognising and linking with the existing tenant user it is creating a fresh user.

USER ID FROM SAML: devs+SSOTestMatt@gmail.com
USER ID ALREADY EXISTING: devs+ssotestmatt@gmail.com

I think it is being driven by the case sensitive nature? But can’t figure out the best way of resolving as our existing records are always lowercase, but we can’t control the way we are being fed them via SAML unfortunately?

Anyone got any ideas?

I have figured out it is not the case sensitivity as I have replicated with two identical users.

For context, we have this flow working with OpenIDConnect - this way it shows as an “Accounts Associated”

Is this possible with SAML?
