Retrieving Google Groups from Google Apps Connection

Just looking for some clarification. I have the google apps connection set up, and it is working. Is there a way to access a user’s assigned groups (google groups) directly, or do I need to ping the Directory API?

Use case: Access control for the Delegated Administration Dashboard:

  • DA Dashboard users are part of an authorized group (e.g., da-dashboard-users@mydomain.com),
  • A rule will check group membership and if the user is a group member the rule adds the appropriate string to the users app_metadata.roles: []

All good. It was a setting on the Google side of things. I’ll see if I can get the details (our ITSec team manages this) and post them here.
