Problem Statement
We observed that after scanning the QR code, for different tenants but the same environment, the auth. app token had the same name using Google Authenticator.
If using Microsoft Authenticator, we need to register the tenant every time. So there is no such confusion.
How to change the name of the Token for Google Authenticator?
Solution
Unfortunately, there is no solution to this problem at this moment. The initial token name comes from the QR code the IDP generates. There may be some Authenticator apps that allow renaming it later. The limitation of having only one token with the same name comes from the App. This is outside of our control.
You might want to try alternative MFA apps in this case:
