Export users extension - Open GZ CSV export

Hello,

I have exported CSV file of users but it exports as GZ file. I am using Windows. Despite having the Excel icon and CSV extension in the file name, the file type is actually GZ.

When I open the file, instead of the users, it is full of nonsense text (I guess UTF-8?).

Does anyone have any advice on opening this in Excel properly?

The “Get data” approach in the “Data” tab doesn’t work for me.

Welcome to the Auth0 Community!

You will need to unzip the exported user json.gz file. After doing that, you should get a .json file that has human-readable text.
