Overview

This article clarifies whether the PUT /api/v2/users/{id}/authentication-methods endpoint supports webauthn factors to update a user’s authentication methods.

Cause

This documentation only lists phone, email, and TOTP as types of authenticators to update a user with.

Solution

This endpoint does not support webauthn factors at all at this time. Only the phone, email, and TOTP factor types listed in the documentation can be used.
