Problem statement
A custom database has been configured for use with a tenant. The migration of users to Auth0 is complete, and the database has been disconnected, as described in Disconnect external user store.
The user login process works as expected. However, it is not possible to enable Passkeys support, as described in Passkeys for Auth0 Database Connections.
Explain how Passkeys can be enabled in this tenant following the user migration.
Cause
It is not possible to disable “Use my own database”, even when user migration is complete. The outcome is that it is not possible to enable Passkeys.
Solution
Passkeys are not supported for use with custom databases at present. This is true even in cases where users have been migrated from a custom database to an Auth0 database.
