Hi! I’ve been trying to log in to the Auth0 dashboard for more than a day now, with my Microsoft account. Here is what is happening.
Yesterday (December 1) the login page just didn’t load for several hours. I assume there was some outage.
Today, when I clicked to use my Microsoft account, it immediately jumped to the MFA code entry. It didn’t even ask which of my accounts would I like to use, just assumed one of them. It did not indicate which one. (I later checked, and I was logged in to only one.)
I typed in the code from my Authenticator app, and it was rejected. No matter what I did, how many times I retried, this was always the result.
I navigated back to the main page and clicked “Sign in” again. Now it didn’t even offer to choose the sign-in method, it went straight to the MFA code. After several retries, this never changed.
I opened an incognito window, and tried to sign in there. Now the sign-in method could be chosen, but it still didn’t let me select my Microsoft account.
I tried the recovery code, and it was also rejected.
I opened a new incognito window, and tried an alternate account, my GitHub login. It redirected me to GitHub to sign in there. After I successfully signed in, I was redirected back, and Auth0 requested me to enter a MFA code. I don’t even have MFA enabled for this account! In the end, I couldn’t sign in with GitHub.
I tried these on Linux, then on Windows, and the result was the same.
In the end, I’m locked out of my account, and can’t work. Can someone confirm if there’s something broken on Auth0’s side?
This topic may be related, but it’s over a year old, and not much seems to have happened since:
Besides, I always used to be able to log in with my Microsoft account so far.
