Account Linking with Universal Login + Lock + Account Linking Extension

Hi,

I’m having difficulties with Account linking with the Universal Login + Lock.

I have the Account Linking extension enabled, but whenever someone tries to create a new account with an email that already exists using a different provider (ex: Google + Email Login), instead of getting an opportunity to link accounts, I just get an error message that says “Something went wrong”.

Checking the server logs, I see that its an error because the email already exists.

  1. How do I make that error message more useful to users to better help them
  2. How do I make the account linking option show up on the clients so they can actually link the accounts? I thought the extension was supposed to take care of that for you, but it’s not appearing for our users.
