Our users are encountering a ‘403 Disallowed User Agent’ error when attempting to access the Google authentication page on our captive portal which is auto pop-up on device embedded browser. We kindly request assistance in resolving this issue to ensure that all our users can successfully access the Google authentication page. Any suggestions for resolving this issue and ensuring a smooth login experience for all?
This issue is causing a significant problem for us as it restricts a substantial portion of our user base from accessing our Wi-Fi network. We have diligently tried all the troubleshooting steps provided on the Okta knowledge base, but unfortunately, none of them have proven effective.
Additional Information:
We have conducted tests involving various devices, including those running Android 10 or newer, as well as iOS devices.
Newer Android devices are automatically redirected to their default browsers, but older Android and iOS devices are not.
On these older devices, the embedded webview remains in use, which prevents users from accessing the Google authentication page and leads to the ‘403 Disallowed User Agent’ error.
We kindly request assistance in resolving this issue to ensure that all our users can successfully access the Google authentication page.
