In order to see your M2M usage, in your tenant you can navigate to the top left part and click on your tenant’s name, then go to Quota Utilization. You can take a look at the following topic for more details on the matter.
The passwordless authentication tokens issued via SMS or email do not count towards the 1000 limit, as that limit applies to Access tokens issued issued by Auth0 to call APIs in M2M authentication. This way, only client credentials requests count towards the 1000 limit.
Essentially, the only limits that apply to passwordless authentication tokens would be the following:
- the limit of monthly active users applied to your tenant ( 25.000 );
- rate limits of how many can be issued, as mentioned in this documentation on Entity Limit Policy.
