When two accounts that have separate MFA enrollments are linked, is there a way to choose which MFA factor to prompt the user for?
Solution
When two user profiles become linked only the MFA enrollment from the primary account is retained. The secondary account’s MFA enrollment is lost at the root level at the time of the linking.
Additionally if the primary account does not have an MFA enrollment but the secondary account does, this will not carry through after the accounts are linked and the user will need to enroll in MFA again or have their new linked profile updated with the existing enrollment from the secondary account.
