We’re using universal login, and in the reset-password-email screen config page, we can see the config for backButtonText.
But we cannot find any back button in the reset-password-email screen.
We did setup the default login routes per Configure Default Login Routes. After user reset new password, we can see the login button in the reset-password-success screen, and the button works without any issue.

We are also eager to know why the back button won’t show up even the config has the “backButtonText” property. We have a requirement to show the Back button. Please provide any suggestions on how to get it
It is still an issue but can’t find any resolution in this community. Tried single page application or regular web application with login URL and have Universal Login. Any lights here would be much appreaciated.
Finally our team changed the resend email button text to “Back” so kind of a way to go back to the app. But it takes one more step for the user and not ideal.

The Go back button got removed due to the fact that the Resend Email button accomplishes the same functionality as the Go Back button since it’s redirecting the user to the beginning of the password reset flow.
It appears that the customization option is still available for the Universal Login despite the button having beeg removed a while back. I will reach out internally regarding this matter.

So yeah, the solution is that there is no solution.
We cannot add a back button, as higher beings have determined we don’t need it - we are just yet to realise their wisdom.
