Reason for Many Low Confidence Impossible Travel Scores

Overview

This article explains the reason for many low confidence impossible travel scores.

Solution

The impossible travel score, defined in the Adaptive MFA documentation, is calculated by the user events, which reveal the user IP. If the IPs in the logs aren’t reasonably close, geographically, this will be calculated as a low confidence score.

Several log types are used to find the user location; please make sure the user-triggered logs on the dashboard, such as the “Success Login” events with type “s” and “Guardian - Enrollment complete” logs with type “gd_enrollment_complete” are from within close proximity.
