Is there a way to have the social/new passwordless member redirect to a customer registration page then get the code or access to the site ? We need to have 2 mandatory questions answered before they can become members and get verified.

I think redirecting from a rule may be a potential solution.
Another avenue could be to use a pre or post reg hook.
