LinkedIn Social Connection broken with Email Scope?

  • We are trying to update to V3 of the LinkedIn social connection
  • We rely heavily on getting the user’s email address
  • When we upgrade to V3 of the connection in Auth0, and have the email checked in scopes, then try to “Test Connection”: it doesn’t work (see screenshot). It works if we uncheck email.
  • If we try and go back to V2 and save, then refresh the page, it has changed back to V3

I saw there are other similar closed threads about this, but could not actually find a solution.

Is the built-in Auth0 LinkedIn connection effectively broken?

Any updates on this?

Sorry for the delayed response here - Are you still experiencing this issue? Have you enabled the “Sign in with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect” product to your LinkedIn application in the LinkedIn developer portal?
