I was able to find the following Auth0 Blog post on Securing Cloudflare Agents with Auth0 that mentions the use of the exact GitHub repository that you are using, therefore it is an officially recognized tool with Auth0. This topic Auth0/nextjs withMiddlewareAuthRequired cause CORS issues on API endpoints mentions the use of Hono and there seems to not have been any issues caused directly by this, the resolution being related to a setting instead, nor has this raised any suspicions on our end.
At this moment we cannot provide a solid confirmation of the development stage in regards to the @auth0/hono repository, but more information will be announced once updates are released.
