Intermittent saml2:Assertion error, parse buffer error on account signup

My users are getting the below intermittent errors during the “signup” journey. Some users encounter these, some do not. The logging throws “fs” errors for each.
These errors occur across all my applications, which use one common connection.

The New UL UI shows the user “something went wrong, please try again later”.

I’d appreciate any insight on what’s happening and where to go to fix this behavior.
