Overview
This article provides instructions to switch between the new and old brute force protection email-based unblock flows.
When enabled, the unblock email flow for Brute-force Protection uses standalone screens that do not support Universal Login customization and localization and that are susceptible to compatibility issues with email scanners. Turn it off to use an improved flow that integrates directly with Universal Login.
NOTE: The old unblock email flow is only available until December 11, 2025. After this date, the new unblock email flow is the only available option.

Solution
To enable or disable the new Brute Force Protection email-based unblock flow, perform the following:
- On the Auth0 Dashboard, go to Settings > Advanced
- Scroll down to the Migrations sections
- To use the new flow, disable the Uncustomizable Brute-force Protection Unblock Email Flow toggle. To use the old flow, enable the toggle.
