As title says, I think the idea of separating the encoder and decoder made using the application a lot more of a hassle. Instead of making changes left and right, now an additional step is required (and as a side note, it was not intuitive the first time I used, at least in ‘dark mode’) now a few months later it still feels like a unneeded change, would rather use the v1, even meaning discarding the changes that I liked.
One suggestion would be, of course, reverting this decision, making everything in the same page. Another would be maintaining it locked depending on the section being used, but pushing the button for the encoder to the right and when clicked, instead of changing the page, just make the encoder free for edits and block the decoder, maybe adding a highlight on the tool being used (encoder, decoder) - either just the buttons or the whole half
