Enable passwordless login for android

Hi,
I am trying out the android passwordless authentication via email using the link below

On entering the code which I receive in the email, I am getting this error repeatedly
n E/PasswordlessLockActivity: Failed to authenticate the user: An error occurred when trying to authenticate with the server.

Im not sure if this error is due the fact that passwordless login on android has been disabled from June 8 2017. How can I enable passwordless login? I want to try out the passwordless login feature.

any idea?

Check the logs in the dashboard to see if there are any specific error messages. As mentioned in the docs, if your tenant was created after 8 June, this feature is disabled by default.

How do we enable it?

If passwordless is disabled by default and deprecated then why is it still being advertised on the website?
