Does “Adaptive MFA” interfere with “Remember this device for 30 days”?
Solution
Yes, Adaptive MFA will override the ‘Remember this device’ setting. This is because when Adaptive MFA is enabled, it runs for every login attempt. If the login event is assessed as having a ‘low’ confidence score, MFA will be triggered, regardless of the user’s preference to remember the device.
You could also check the “riskAssessment” attribute in successful login (“s”) in the tenant logs to see the confidence score of a login attempt. This information can help understand which factors may have led to the enforcement of MFA.
