I’ve recently been switching from the Auth0 React SDK to the Auth0 Next SDK. The Next SDK’s docs state that it should be used with an application that is configured to be a “Regular Web Application”, while the React SDK was setup to use a “Single Page Application”
I’ve been testing the Next SDK against the same application and it seems to work. What is the difference with a “Regular Web Application” and would the Next SDK work when targeting that application? Is it just a matter of what the default configuration settings are set to on creation of the application?

This is actually a very important and relatable question. any answer??
Hmm no answer for this yet. So it seems community is even not clear. I have the same confusion.
Hi team,
Sharing the answer here for the rest of the community. The reason behind setting Next.js as an RWA is the server-side rendering, which allows you to safely store client secrets, so it can be considered a private application. You can set up next.js with an SPA, but it’s not recommended.
Below, you can find a few links explaining which application and flow to choose during the planning phase.
Thanks
Dawid
