I see a lot of similarities between both as the data points that are captured are mostly the same. I’m looking to understand about how exactly these two are different.
Hi @noel.ps,
Welcome to the Auth0 Community and thank you for your post.
What you are suggesting is correct, since Auth0 provides most of the key points proposed by device intelligence, aspects concluded in this Auth0 blog post, and more information about Auth0’s Attack Protection can be checked using this documentation article.
One of crucial aspects that I can think of when it comes to additional security layers is also providing strong MFA enforcements, so apart from device security Auth0 recommends Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), which could also ask users for something they know (e.g., a password) or something intrinsic to the user (e.g., a fingerprint).
There are multiple security aspects that could be taken into consideration on top of simply device intelligence, so i would definitely advise checking out the documentation about Highly Regulated Identity, which presents more details on subjects such as Advanced Security with OpenID Connect, Strong Application Authentication , SCA or others.
I hope this helps clarify a few aspects.
Thanks,
Remus
