Custom Domain is not Available as Application Domain

Problem statement

This article will explain why a newly configured custom domain is not available as the application domain for new or existing applications.

Example:
Auth0 Dashboard > Branding > Custom Domains > domain: auth0-example.com
Auth0 Dashboard > Applications > Applications> Select your application > Domain: example.us.auth0.com

Solution

This is an expected behavior. Each application’s domain always points to the Auth0 canonical domain by default, even after configuring a custom domain.

to configure each application to use the new custom domain instead of the Auth0 canonical domain. The custom domain must be configured for each component separately.
