Overview
This article explains why specific Breached Password log types (pwd_leak, signup_pwd_leak, reset_pwd_leak ) are not available as individual selections within the Filter by Log Event Category dropdown menu when configuring a Log Streaming Service integration via the Auth0 Dashboard. These specific event types are notably absent from the filter list, unlike other log types found under Monitoring > Logs.
Applies To
- Log Streaming
Cause
Auth0 Log Streaming does not currently support filtering specifically by the Breached Password log event types (pwd_leak, signup_pwd_leak, reset_pwd_leak).
For a comprehensive list of supported Log Stream event filters, refer to the Auth0 Log Stream Event Filters documentation.
Solution
While direct filtering for the specific Breached Password log types (pwd_leak, signup_pwd_leak, reset_pwd_leak) is not available, these logs are included within the Other Logs event category filter. Selecting this category ensures that Breached Password logs are sent to the configured Log Streaming service.
To include Breached Password logs in the Log Stream:
- Navigate to Auth0 Dashboard > Monitoring > Log Streams.
- Select the desired Log Stream integration.
- Select the Settings tab for the integration.
- Locate the Filter by Log Event Category dropdown menu.
- Select Other Logs from the OTHERS section within the dropdown list.
