WORKAROUND: Saving Email Template currently unavailable in Dashboard

#1

Problem: Currently saving email templates in the Dashboard (Manage) is not working.

Solution:

A fix is being worked on and deployed but will not be available for a few days. In the meantime, the following workaround using the Management APIv2 is available.

Note: Even if the dashboard shows that the template is disabled, it will actually be enabled if the API is used and identifies it as enabled.

Link: Management APIv2, select Email Templates

There are various options identified under the Email Templates category, listed out below:

Each of these have specific API parameters associated for interacting with the email template functionality. For instance, if you want to update the subject of the verify_email template, for example, you can use a request like this:

curl -X PATCH \
  https://TENANT_NAME.auth0.com/api/v2/email-templates/verify_email \
  -H 'Authorization: Bearer MGMT_API_TOKEN_HERE' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{ "subject": "This is the new subject" }'
